This 9-day journey through Peru is all about variety adventure and fun – from desert dunes to rainbow mountains to the ancient city in the clouds. We’ll ride through the dunes in a real-life oasis, hike (or train) to Machu Picchu, explore colorful markets, and take in views that feel like another planet.

You’ll have the option to hike the final stretch of the iconic Inca Trail — or take the chill route to Machu Picchu by train. Either way, you’ll be exploring one of the most epic bucket list destinations in the world with a small group of adventurous women and a local team guiding the way.

This trip blends big moments with relaxed energy, culture with adrenaline, and just enough challenge to leave you feeling proud (without needing to train for months). Come ready for new friends, bold landscapes, and a truly unforgettable week in Peru.

🛬 May 2nd - Arrive in Lima

Welcome to Peru! We’ll kick off the adventure in Lima — a vibrant coastal city where the ceviche is fresh and the energy is high. After settling into our hotel, we’ll meet for a fun welcome dinner to get to know each other and dive into what’s ahead.

Day 02 :

Paracas Reserve & Ballestas Island - May 3rd

We’re off to the coast! Today we’ll drive south to Paracas, where the desert meets the sea. We’ll explore the dramatic Paracas National Reserve, then take a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands — home to sea lions, penguins, and countless seabirds.

Day 3 :

Huacachina Desert Oasis - May 4th

Today is for the thrill seekers! After breakfast we’ll head to Huacachina, a surreal desert oasis surrounded by massive sand dunes. Ride wild dune buggies, try sandboarding, and watch the sun set over the desert before heading back to Lima for the night.

Day 4 :

✈️ Fly to Cusco + Andean Vibes - May 5th

We’re off to the Andes mountains today! We’ll take a short flight to Cusco in the morning, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. After checking in, we’ll spend the day at a relaxed pace to acclimate to the altitude. Stroll through cobblestone streets, shop artisan markets, and sip coca tea in the heart of the Andes.

Day 5 :

🥾 Choose Your Own Adventure - May 6

Today you decide how you want to approach Machu Picchu! Whether you decide hike or relax in the town nearby, we all reconnect tomorrow to explore the citadel together.

Option 1: Hike the Inca Trail (Optional Add-On)

Start from KM 104 on the Inca Trail and hike 7.5 miles (12 km) over 2 days through cloud forest and past stunning ruins. We’ll camp overnight with full support from our porters and guides. Lunch & Dinner is provided along the trail if you choose to hike!

Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Trail permit, camping gear, guides, porters, and all transport.

Option 2: Chill in Aguas Calientes (included)

If hiking’s not your thing, you’ll take a beautiful train ride straight to Aguas Calientes, the town at the base of Machu Picchu. Spend the afternoon your way, from hot springs, market wandering, or relaxing with a view and meet up with the hiking group tomorrow!

Day 6 :

🌄 Sunrise at Machu Picchu — May 7

This morning we all come together for the moment we’ve been waiting for, the epic world wonder of Machu Picchu. Our expert guide will lead us through the ruins, sharing the history and magic of this ancient wonder. Afterward, we’ll all regroup in Aguas Calientes for lunch, then head back to Cusco in the afternoon.

Day 7 :

🌈 Rainbow Mountain — May 8

Early wake-up today, but it’s worth it. We’ll head to Rainbow Mountain, a surreal, striped peak tucked deep in the Andes. The altitude makes the hike a bit challenge, but we will take our time up to the mountain and the views along the way are next-level. Expect many moments of awe along the way and of course lot of photos!
If you really not down for hiking, you could hire an ATV and drive a large portion of the hike reducing the hike to about 45 mins only – we will organize this closer to the trip

Day 8 :

🏛️ Pisac Ruins & back to Lima — May 9

Our final full day is all about culture, connection, and saying goodbye to the Sacred Valley. We’ll visit the ancient Pisac ruins, explore the colorful artisan market below, and share one last lunch together before flying back to Lima in the evening.

Are flights included?

International flights to and from the trip destination are not included. Only flights that are included are listed in inclusions. Looking for cheap flights? Check out Kayak.com or Google Flights!

Any flights that are needed due to the Itinerary will be included for this trip – like our round trip flight from Lima to Cusco.

Are there extra vaccines I need?

There are no vaccines required to visit Peru. We HIGHLY recommend speaking to your doctor prior to this trip to ensure they explain everything to you as a medical professional. You may want to consider a Yellow Fever vaccine but it is not currently mandatory.

Is Food Included?

Each trip is different, at least 2 dinners plus breakfast every day is included. The Inclusions has the exact list of food included! Dietary & allergy information will also be collected leading up to the trip to ensure you’re taken care of.

What is the cancelation policy?

The minimum number of girls for this trip is 8. Once we reach 8, the first 25% is no longer refundable as I book our hotels, tour guides, activities, etc. at that point. If we don’t reach the minimum number of people, you will receive a full refund.

If you cancel your trip more than 60 days prior to the trip your first 25% is non-refundable but can be used for future Adventuring for Life trips minus a $100 cancellation fee. Anything over the 25% will be refunded automatically.

The trip credit must be used within 12 months of cancellation.

The trip is 100% non-refundable 60 days prior to the trip. This is why we recommend travel insurance – incase something happens causing you to be unable to join us!

Should I get Travel Insurance

Yes, this trip requires travel insurance with covid protection. This must be purchased separately.

How does roommate matching work?

The majority of the people that sign up for the trips with adventuring for life are coming solo! We do an extensive Roommate matching survey before each trip to help match people up that have the same vibe. You are welcome to bring a friend or request a certain roommate after you’ve met the girls on the group chat or let us pick somebody for you.

We offer solo rooms on certain trips for people that want their own space but you are 100% welcome to sign up by yourself and we will get you a great roommate. In fact many of the ladies we have paired up as roommates have gone on after our trips and traveled with us again together or off by themselves!

What is required to book a spot on this trip?

A minimum $600 down payment is due at the time of booking. The down payment is refundable until your spot is confirmed at which time it becomes non-refundable. Your spot is confirmed after the first 8 bookings are made. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the trip. If you book within 59 days from trip start, the full amount will be due at booking.

Who is Hosting This Trip?

There is a local tour guide that will be with the group the entire trip. This trip will also be closely monitored by Rachel, with her having full knowledge of everything and every day. The trip itself will be hosted by the wonderful Alexis(Lex), who has previously hosted trips to Iceland, Italy, Switzerland & more and she knows everything there is to know when it comes to grabbing that perfect photo or helping with any issues along the way.
