Every trip is created with different physical activity levels considered. Some trips are there for that fully relaxing and calming time by the pool or the beach we all deserve after a year of working our socks off keeping the world in order. Whereas some other trips are created with the adventurous nature that Rachel loves to explore, and we would recommend a certain level of physical enjoyment to be able to fully immerse yourself in all the good things lined up! While the majority of Adventuring for Life Trips include some element of adventure some are WAY more adventurous and physically demanding than others. Some trips require you to participate in the activities as the group needs to stay together while others you can simply opt out and stay at the hotel and relax.

For each trip we will give you a specific physical rating, and some ideas / tips on what this may involve. As a base guide, here are our ratings and what they may mean:

1 out of 5: These are the kind of breaks where you just get to chill out and hide from the world. There will be some adventures involved but very little will be required from your body to truly enjoy these adventures. You will always have the ability to opt out of activites here.

2 out of 5: These trips will involve a lot of walking but no physical preparation will be required for most. We’ll be on the go everyday but the majority of people will be fine doing all the activities and wakling all the steps everyday.

3 out of 5: These trips are more physically demanding. Expect a good amount of adventure throughout the trip and you should be decently physically fit to participate. Some activites will have weight limits you should be aware of, there will be hikes or activities that involve getting your adventure on in some tougher terrains / more exciting environments!

4 out of 5: Be prepared to get involved. This trip will be more enjoyable for those with a higher level of physical activity, and those who can really throw themselves into new and exciting plans! You should feel physically fit enough to participate in all activities on the trip as there will be little time for us to let you sit back due to the nature/pace of the itinerary.

5 out of 5: This is the highest rating we will give, and will require some serious adventurers to join us on! These trips will involve a lot of exploration in some tougher environments, and will get your heart pumping and your body moving. These trips would only be recommended for those with a high level of fitness and willing to give it a go! Adventure hats on!

While we pride ourselves in enjoying that people from all different backgrounds can enjoy our trips, we do want you to have the best time possible, and therefore we do believe it is important to consider how far you can push your body before you aren’t having fun any more.
We will all be there to support you through the tough days, and help you achieve your goals, but please ensure you put yourself and your trip first! Happiness is our top priority!
