Galápagos Girls Trip

We begin our journey in Guayaquil, Ecuador’s main international gateway and the easiest place to start a Galápagos trip. After arriving, we’ll transfer to our hotel near the airport and settle in after a long travel day. I

In the evening, we’ll come together for a welcome dinner full of laughs and getting to know each other

This morning we fly to the Galápagos Islands, landing on San Cristóbal Island. After arrival, we’ll transfer to our hotel and take some time to settle in.

We will start our trip in the Galapagos the best way possible – visiting the Giant Galapagos tortoises in the highlands! We will also stop at El Junco Lake, a famous lake that sits inside an extinct volcanic crater. This is a great spot for bird watching as well.

Then after lunch we’ll go snorkeling at La Lobería, a calm and beautiful spot where sea lions are often curious and playful in the water.

Once we’re back in San Cristobal we’ll head out for dinner as a group again.

This morning we board our Galápagos yacht and officially begin our expedition through the islands. After settling into our cabins and meeting the onboard crew and naturalist guide, we’ll begin exploring nearby sites around San Cristóbal.

Life on the yacht quickly falls into a rhythm of guided walks, snorkeling, incredible meals, and plenty of time to relax between activities.

Today we explore some of San Cristóbal’s most iconic sites, including dramatic volcanic landscapes, white sand beaches, and crystal-clear waters.

We’ll snorkel at Pitt Point and Witch Hill, then finish the day at Kicker Rock, one of the most famous snorkeling spots in the Galápagos. This area is known for its towering rock formations and abundant marine life, often including sharks.

Española is one of the absolute highlights of the Galápagos and a full day here is unforgettable.

We’ll visit Gardner Bay, home to endless sea lions and turquoise water, followed by Suárez Point, where we may see waved albatross, blue-footed boobies, and dramatic cliffs dropping straight into the ocean. This is classic Galápagos wildlife at its best.

Today were off to explore Floreana Island, combining wildlife, history, and snorkeling.

We’ll visit Baroness Viewpoint for stunning panoramic views, stop at Post Office Bay to take part in the historic mail barrel tradition, and explore Cormorant Point, where flamingos are often spotted and the sand has a unique green hue.

Day 8 | North Seymour, Giant Tortoises & Return to Mainland

We start our final morning in the Galápagos with a visit to North Seymour Island, one of the best islands in the archipelago for wildlife. This is where we’ll see frigatebirds with their bright red throat pouches, blue-footed boobies, and land iguanas roaming freely. It’s an incredible last island stop and a perfect way to end our time on the yacht.

Afterward, we disembark near Baltra Airport and fly out. You have two options at this point, fly back to Guayaquil or stay for 3 extra nights and join us in the Amazon Rainforest!

Fly from Baltra to Guayaquil and spend your last night in Ecuador overnight near the airport before departing the following day. For those not continuing you will stay at a nearby airport hotel with transfer to the airport included the next day.

Optional : Amazon Rainforest Extension

Join the group and fly from Baltra to Quito and enjoy a relaxed evening in the city before heading into the Amazon the next morning! We will arrive in Quito in the afternoon and have the entire evening to explore the local colorful village before our Amazon adventure begins.

If you’re going home today then you can take one of the many provided airport shuttles to the airport. Breakfast is included at the hotel.

Optional Extra Days in the Amazon

For those who want to continue the adventure, our optional post-trip Amazon extension offers a completely different side of Ecuador. This experience is immersive and deeply connected to nature, with guided rainforest walks, river canoe excursions, wildlife spotting, and cultural experiences. It’s the perfect way to wind down after the Galápagos while still embracing adventure, and space is limited for this extension.

Today we leave Quito and drive about 3 hours into the Amazon foothills. You’ll literally watch the landscape change from the Andes into thick green rainforest as we descend.

We arrive at our private lodge tucked inside protected forest near the Inchillaqui River. There’s a pool, river access, hiking trails, and even a small beach area, so it feels immersive but comfortable.

After settling in, we will go off on our first walk through the nearby jungle in hopes of spotting wildlife from birds to frogs. Afterwards we’ll have Dinner tonight, a multi-course meal surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest.

We’re going to wake up early because mornings in the Amazon are magic!

First, we canoe along the Arajuno River to visit a parrot clay lick, where blue-headed and dusky-headed parrots gather to feed on mineral-rich clay. It’s colorful, loud, and one of the most iconic Amazon moments.

From there, we will visit a small Indigenous community where we enjoy a traditional breakfast and learn about local life. You can try your hand at blowgun shooting, taste traditional chicha, and even help harvest yuca.

Later on we’ll take a hike through protected jungle trails inside the Latún Sacha Reserve, spotting birds, monkeys, and possibly giant freshwater fish near Paikawe Lagoon. In the evening we’ll return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxed evening in the jungle atmosphere.

After dinner, we will have the option to head out again for a night walk. Frogs, insects, tarantulas, and night monkeys all emerge after dark.

This morning we will enjoy a final breakfast at the lodge before free time to relax by the pool, take a short nature walk, or join an optional chocolate-making workshop where you learn how cacao goes from bean to bar.

Late morning, we transfer back to Quito.

After breakfast, we’ll drive back to Quito and all be dropped off at the airport to bid farewell! We should arrive by 2pm so we suggest not booking any flights home from Quito (UIO) until after 4pm.
