Extra Information for this trip:
- Activity Level
You should be a decent swimmer to access all the caves and swimming spots but we will only swim in areas that are safe. Also the salt water in Greece is actually VERY buoyant and all the boats have life vests if you want one. There are several hikes (all optional, max 3 miles) with rocky terrain so shoes you can hike in are essential. Personally I hike in my water shoes that have good traction on them – but thats up to each person.
- ATV’s
The ATV’s were renting in Zakynthos all come with 2 helmets and a storage area. They are 400-450 CC’s and can hold 2 people. We are not off roading with them but using them to see the island at our own pace and visit all the small areas that a larger vehicle couldn’t access.
Solo ATVs are available but its actually a better idea to share so that one person can drive while the other navigates. They’re very useful if you want go off and do an extra excursion thats not on the itinerary too! You do not have to drive either if you want to only ride along.
The ATVs are all automatic with unlimited mileage. The ATVs come with a basic CDW insurance that covers the majority of damage except for excess damage or theft. There is additional insurance you can purchase if you choose to. Fuel is not included in the rental price, you will need to refill it back to the level you receive it at. Minimum age to drive an ATV in Greece is 21.
