Touch down in paradise! After meeting up with the group in Malé get ready to hop on a speedboat and head straight across turquoise water to Fulidhoo! A tiny island that feels like a secret escape. Once we check in you can kick off your sandals, breathe in that salty ocean air, and wander to the beach. Tonight we gather for a welcome dinner by the sea! The perfect first sunset with new friends.

Were off on our first of many excursions around the stunning Maldivian Islands. This morning after breakfast we head out on a private boat to snorkel with nurse sharks and stingrays in the Vaavu region!

Have you ever wanted one of those iconic photos or videos with the sharks and rays swimming around you? this is the spot! In fact we will have a drone videographer with us taking all the shots. Photos or not – It is one of the most iconic wildlife experiences in the Maldives!

After returning for lunch, the afternoon is free to enjoy bikini beach, paddleboarding, or just relax by the ocean. In the late afternoon we set out again on a private dolphin cruise where spinner dolphins often leap beside the boat as the sun sets.

Day 3: Sandbank Picnic and Bodu Beru Drumming Show

Today we escape to a sandbank in the middle of the ocean, where there is nothing but white sand, turquoise sea, and our group. We swim, snorkel, and enjoy a beach picnic that feels straight out of a dream. Back on the island you have time to relax before our farewell to Vaavu: a lively Bodu Beru drumming show, complete with local music, dancing, and that barefoot island vibe.

After breakfast we will take a private speedboat to another stunning island, this time on the South Ari Atoll. This Atoll is one of the best places in the Maldives for swimming and snorkeling with whale sharks and manta rays!

Once we land we’ll check in to our new guesthouse. Our guesthouse has air conditioning, WiFi, private bathrooms, delicious breakfast and is close to one of the longest bikini beaches in the country. The afternoon is free to wander the island, swim, or relax with a massage. In the evening you can join an optional Maldivian cooking class where we prepare local dishes together and enjoy them for dinner.*

Today is a highlight of the trip as we head out on a full-day private boat trip to snorkel with whale sharks and manta rays! South Ari is one of the few places in the world where whale sharks can be seen year-round and mantas gather seasonally. This makes it one of the best places to look for them ethically in the wild! Between snorkeling stops we enjoy a picnic lunch on board and swim at some of the region’s best reefs. In the evening we return to our island to relax on the beach or enjoy a free evening meal at a local restaurant.

Overnight in South Ari Atoll

This is your day to choose your own adventure! Spend tthe day lounging on the most famous bikini beach, play sand volleyball, kayak in the lagoon, go enjoy a huge array of different water sports or hopping between local cafés for fresh seafood and smoothies. Certified divers can join an optional two-tank dive with local PADI operators to explore the incredible underwater world of South Ari. If the group is up for it, we can also organize a casual beach bonfire in the evening.

We begin the day with a tropical beach breakfast served as we watch sunrise complete with fruit, coffee, and local dishes right on the sand. Afterwards we head out by private boat to snorkel at a shipwreck that has become home to colorful marine life, then visit a nearby sandbar to swim and relax. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy bikini beach go paddleboarding. Tonight we will come together for a farewell dinner under the stars to celebrate our week of adventure!

Today is either farewell or you’re coming on to continue on the optional extra days at a stunning overwater bungalow resort!

After breakfast those ending the trip transfer back to Malé by speedboat for onward flights.

Those choosing the resort add-on will transfer to a 5 Star Overwater Bungalow Resort where beach villas and overwater bungalows await!The resort stay includes three nights with full board dining and access to luxury amenities. It is the perfect way to relax after a week of island adventure. If you want to upgrade to all inclusive (alcohol, mini bar, etc) that is also an option too.

The overwater bungalows are at a 5 star resort. Each room has 1 king bed so you will be sharing a bed with your roommate. They do not have options for rooms with two twin beds that are also overwater bungalows. Extra bedding can be provided so that each person has their own blankets. We will take a boat transfer TO the resort and Sea plane back to Male. Please note the price for the overwater bungalow does not include the sea plane, as we can not collect that and it will be taken once were in the Maldives. The current pricing for the sea plane back to Male is $250.

There are an array of different restaurants to choose from, beaches to swim on, and pools to relax by! Whether its getting a massage everyday, snorkeling off the back deck of your overwater bungalow, enjoying one of the water sports at the resort or relaxing by the pool the days are yours! We will absolutely coordinate our days so we can hang out together & enjoy meals together. For anyone wanting to scuba dive from the resort, Rachel will happily join you as well!

The resort is full board but you can upgrade to all inclusive if you wish (both roommates must upgrade).
