We get into Makarska late in the afternoon, giving you time to go around the town, grab a gelato and have dinner in one of the many restaurants, pizzerias and tavernas that line the promenade.

The most popular way to spend the night is at the famous Club Deep, also known as the “Rave in a Cave”. Say no more!

We’ll start early from Makarska today, stop for a swim after breakfast then head to the Mljet National Park after lunch.

Definitely bring snorkel gear for today & a good pair of water shoes for the national park!  You can go on a hike, visit the monastary in the national park, take a kayak out, bike around for a few hours or go swimming!

We’ll arrive in Dubrovnik in the early afternoon. Once docked you’ll have time to take a walk around the famous walls or visit one of the cliff bars for sunset.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in and around the Old City, as well as events at clubs such as Revelin.

There are several optional excursions you can do once we’re in Dubrovnik:

You can go to the Blue Cave, take a day trip to Bosnia & Kravic Waterfall, you could go Ziplining & or take an uber up to the bridge & test your courage with Bungie Jumping (both should be pre-booked – Rachel can help you with that), otherwise you could go on a buggy tour of the whole city, take the cable car to the top view point, go on a Game of Thrones walking tour, a history walking tour of the town, or just go explore the old town on your own.

Welcome to another day in the amazing city of Dubrovik. There is an optional swim stop this morning that you can stay on the boat for or head out early and go explore. There are so many things to do in this city.

Today we’re going Buggy Riding!! Doing the awesome buggy tour – you are taken to Mount Srd to get a bird’s eye view of the Old City and Elaphite Isles before driving an off-road buggy around the mountain. Unmissable!

After that you have the whole day – you could take a cable car ride up to Mount Srd for the most incredible view imaginable (note: buggy trip takes you past same cable car station for same view).

July 20th :
Hvar!

Korcula to Hvar Island

Today We will most likely dock in Hvar Town, Jelsa or Stari Grad (weather depending)

Hvar is rated as one of the highlights of the trip and it’s not hard to see why. You should definitely climb to the very top of the island at the fort to enjoy the view from the top today!

We arrive after lunch but often we are not able to dock until after 7pm due to port restrctions. There is an option to stay on board and enjoy an extra long swim stop today or you could take a water taxi from the boat to port and go explore before we’re able to dock.

Hvar’s nightlife is also legendary – there are several clubs on the island, Carpe Diem the famous “club on an island”, you can catch sunset at one of the bars and a ton more. If there is a dinner spot you want to visit you should DEFINITELY make a reservation in advance. Hvar can be busy at dinner time.

Note: Hvar Town’s small port is often overcrowded in peak months. The port authority may order the boat to dock elsewhere on the island, such as Stari Grad or Jelsa, about 35-40 mins by bus from Hvar Town.

Breakfast, Lunch

Hvar Island to Split

Today is our final full day at sea which means we of course start with a swim stop at one of the many Pakleni Islands near Hvar and continues past Brac Island on the way to the biggest city on the Dalmatian coast: Split.

In the afternoon we dock back into Split so if you didnt get to see enough of Split before we left you have time to do that today. Places like Diocletian Palace, the statue of Greogory of Nin & Bacvice Beach are some dont-miss spots

If you’ve had enough sightseeing and want to do something more adventurous then you could also take a transfer to Omis for  can also transfer you to Omis for a rafting excursion on the River Cetina.

What is the refund policy?

Once the trip is confirmed with 8 spots booked, the 25% deposit is non-refundable. Additional payments over the 25% are refundable until we are 60 days out from the trip.

At the 60 day mark all payments are due and the trip is 100% non-refundable.

If you need to cancel your spot prior to 60 days before the trip starts, there is a $100 cancelation fee and the remainder can be used on a future Adventuring for Life trip.

If you cancel 1-59 days prior to the trip, it is 100% non-refundable.

Travel Insurance is highly recommended, especially for ALL International Trips, to protect you in case you do have to cancel at any point.

Are flights included?

No flights are not included. People come from everywhere for this trip so I’m unable to include international flights.

Should I buy Travel Insurance?

Yes, in the current climate of traveling international I recommend everyone buy travel insurance.

Do I need to be vaccinated?`

Yes. Traveling without full vaccination to Europe is not something I wish to deal with in a group setting. This policy keeps everyone safe.

What is the average age range?

The average age on most trips is 22-35 but don’t let that discourage you from signing up. “39” doesn’t mean you’re too old to enjoy a trip. What I like to tell everyone before signing up is to make sure they’re ok with possibly traveling with people that are 21, that they may be the only “person their age” but also if you’re down to have fun and you do believe that age is just a number. You’re the perfect time of person for these trips. My trips are pretty high energy, pretty fast paced and fun – lots of fun. I just tell everyone to have an open mind and come to have a blast. We aren’t sitting down and relaxing by the pool for 7 days, we’re seeing the world!

What is the roommate policy on this trip

We have 11 cabins with 2 twin beds in each cabin. If you don’t sign up with a roommate then one will be assigned. Prior to the trip I send out a roommate survey asking basic questions and try to match people the best I can. The goal is to put you with a like minded roommate that’s going to make your trip even better. Surprisingly enough, some of my roommate matches have ended up traveling with each other outside these trips, which I think is pretty cool.

What is the food situation?

Half board is included everyday. Most days are Breakfast & lunch – 1 day is breakfast & dinner. All types of allergies and food preferences can be cooked for. Vegetarian, Vegan, Pesc, Gluten Free, etc. Breakfast is a typical buffet style with hot and cold options. Lunch is a 3 course meal with a soup/salad starter, a main course and a desert. If you have specific things you cant/dont eat this can be accounted for before we arrive.

What are the differences between the ships and weeks?

This is the boat is considered a Premium boat. Its more upscale then the boats we used in 2022 with more amentities.

There are 3 Weeks in Croatia with 4 Trips in 2023:

July 14th – We’re going to be on two boats this week. Lili is hosting her trip on Zaramaris and Rachel is running a 2nd trip on a Premium Boat. The premium boat is a step above what we used in 2022 but not as fancy as the LUX boat on July 28th. This is great if you are seeking a bit more room & luxury in your room then what we had in 2022. The rooms are all two twin beds in the double occupancy rooms, no bunk beds. See below for Zaramaris info!

July 21st – This trip is with Rachel on Zaramaris – its the same mid-level boat that we ran in 2022. Shes not a basic wooden boat, has AC & a great staff but not as fancy as the other two boats. Fantastic Sound System to pre-game with before we head out to dance each night! Rooms may be two twin beds or bunk beds.

July 28th – This is the LUX version of all 4 trips. We’re on the fanciest boat you can be on in Croatia. Elevated food, daily house keeping, stronger AC, more room to spread out, mid-week sheet changes. This is the most modern of the 4 and has the most state of the art equipment on board.

Trip Facts

  • The minimum is 12 but the goal is to fill all 25 spots on the boat.
  • This is a fairly active trip with lots of walking, you should also be confident in swimming as we're on a boat the entire trip.
  • Other then night 1, we are on a boat - 11 cabins with 2 beds in each cabin plus a few solo cabins
