Day 4 :

Today we are off to somewhere new! So time to get up, and eat up, and head out the door on our first visit to the cliff-top of Masada.

On the way to the top of Masada there are many beautiful photo opportunities, and your tour will be able to take lots of beautiful group shots at perfect locations.

Once you arrive at Masada, a cable car will take you to the fortress built by King Herod around 35 BC. This is a very important place for many Jewish people, as it is a symbol of their exile from the Holy Land, and the bravery and self-sacrifice shown.

After this visit, you will take a small drive to the shores of the Dead Sea, a place many flock to experience due to it’s heavily-salted waters which enable you to float for as long as you want, without having to swim. Spend time within the waters, relaxing and soaking in the mud which is suppose to have many healing properties.

After you have unwound in the sea, you will be taken to your accommodation for the night, a truly wonderful experience within an eco-lodge, originally part of a refugee camp and now a community initiative which aims to protect the ecology of the Dead Sea and Jordan River Valley.

After dinner, you can either relax in your room, or if light allows it, take a small sunset hike through the local farm area and enjoy some local conversation and light refreshments. A truly beautiful way to end the day.

After, you will visit Nazareth to take a stroll through the Old City, and visit the Church of the Annunciation – a place where Mary is said to have been visited by the Angel Gabriel.

Your day will end in Haifa, where you will have the evening to do as you wish, find a lovely local cuisine to enjoy, or just relax in your hotel room ready for tomorrow.

We will stop here for lunch before moving our way back to Haifa for a free afternoon to do as you should wish.

Do I need to be vaccinated for COVID19?

Yes. All trips with RachelLikesTraveling & Adventuring for Life require vaccination due to the nature of international travel right now. It is important to look after the group you’re traveling with, and the people you may encounter in each country.

Can I pick my roommate?

Of course! Prior to the trip commencing, a questionnaire will be sent out – if you have a roommate preference please write this in the box provided.

What is the average age range of a group?

The majority of my community is in their 20s and 30s, there isn’t a “too old” age but 25-35 is typical. That doesn’t mean that being 39 or 43 should stop you from joining us. As long as you’re open minded to enjoying a trip with all ages, down to have A LOT of fun, and understand these are very active trips then you’re good!

Should I get travel insurance?

Yes, for this trip travel insurance is required and proof of it will be required prior to the trip commencing.
You can get several quotes from Aardy.com – Rachel’s personal favorite (from experience) is Travel Guard by AIG.

Are International Flights Included?

No flights are not included. People come from everywhere for this trip so we are unable to include international flights. Please read the itinerary carefully and book yourself onto flights that arrive and depart on appropriate dates from the right airport!

What Is The Cancellation Policy?

The minimum number of girls for this trip is 8. Once we reach 8, the 25% deposit is no longer refundable as I book our hotels, activities, etc. at that point. If we don’t reach the minimum number of people, you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel your trip more than 60 days prior to the trip your 25% deposit is non-refundable but can be used for future Adventuring for Life trips minus a $100 cancellation fee. Anything over the 25% will be refunded automatically.

This trip is 100% non-refundable 60 days prior to the trip – which in this case is on 16th of February 2023.

The only way to get any money back within 60 days of a trip is if you are able to find a replacement. Rachel can definitely help try to fill the spot but there are zero guarantees we’re able to find a replacement. This is why we recommend travel insurance – incase something happens causing you to be unable to join us!
Rachel highly recommends checking out Travel Insurance quotes as they can be pretty reasonable and assist in these situations.

Do You Need To Be From The US?

No! Anyone from anywhere can come on a trip, we’ve had girls from England, Germany, Canada and more! You could be the first girl from your country to come with us, we would love that.

What Currency Is The Trip In?

All trips are priced using USD, so you may need to convert this to your local currency.
