This policy has been updated as of August 29, 2022 and applies to all trips in 2023 and forward.

If you’re at all concerned about not being able to go on a trip, this guide on the Adventuring for Life refund policy should hopefully answer all your questions.

To start off, all trips have a minimum 25% deposit and minimum number of girls which is listed each trip page. Most trips have a minimum 8 girls.

Once the minimum number of participants has been met the trip is considered confirmed and the 25% deposit is non-refundable at this point.

All additional payments over the initial 25% are refundable until 60 days prior to the trip.

At 59 days prior to the trip, the trip is 100% non-refundable.

This is how full refunds & replacements work:

• If you cancel 60 days before a trip starts your 25% deposit (minus a $100 cancelation fee) can be used for a future trip with Adventuring for Life.
• Anything over the 25% is refundable before the 60 day mark.
• This applies to all trips except where otherwise noted, example: Antarctica in November 2023.
• If canceled 60 days or less before a trip then your full payment is non-refundable.
• The only exception to the non-refundable part of this policy is If we find a replacement for your spot on the trip then you get a full refund, minus a $100 free. Most trips have a pretty long waiting list so this typically is easy to do but is not guaranteed. Rachel will do her best to help find a replacement via the Facebook group after exhausting the waitlist.

• If you’re worried about Covid canceling a trip (ex. getting sick before leaving, etc) please purchase travel insurance. Its not required on trips but its HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. There is nothing that can be done if you get sick prior to a trip and can’t attend at the last minute. This is what trip insurance is designed for. Yes its an extra expense but its the only way you can protect yourself. This link has quotes for travel insurance from 5 different companies. Travel Guard by AIG is my current preferred option out of all the companies listed. Trawick is also great.
