Day 2 :
March 10th

Today is your big day in Delhi. The day starts with an adventure out into Old Delhi and take a walk through the alleyways, experiencing another rick ride through the bustling streets.

You will then take a visit to Jama Masjid, Delhi’s oldest mosque and a really amazing building. The mosque was once a building of political importance, and holds a lot of history within it’s walls.

You will then visit the Sheeshganj Gurudwara (Sikh Temple) to learn all about the Sikh religion and what it’s impact has had on the local area.

As the day continues, you’ll head towards Khari Baoli – hailed as Asia’s largest spice market, you’ll get to experience the bustling hub and engulf your senses with an aromatic symphony of myriad spices.

Tonight, we will come together again to enjoy a meal at an iconic local haveli. It’s time to celebrate our time in India, and toast to an amazing week ahead.

Day 3 :
March 11th

We will kick things off by travelling 4 hours towards Mughal, Agra. As you explore this beautiful place, you will stop off to grab some exciting local snacks, and wine to enjoy the trip as you walk through the world wonders it holds.

Agra was founded in 1504 on the western bank of the Yamuna River. It went through break taking expansions and architectural development due to each emperor looking to out do the previous; this has left some absolutely beautiful sites to experience – lots of amazing photo opportunities for you to grab straight away!

In the evening, we’ll stop at one of the wonders of the world -the Taj Mahal for a beautiful sunset experience. Emperor Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, which took 22 years to make and was only possible by him turning his back on running the empire to complete the build! The dedication to the building, and the love that went into every aspect of it’s design, still stands tall nearly 400 years later.

To finish the day off, it’s time to explore the local street food. You will have the opportunity to trial some really fresh and spicy local cuisines such as pani puri, a crispy fried puri, or tikki, a dish of potatoes, peas and spices! This is authentic Indian food made by the hands of those who really know their work – it’s time to experience fast food Indian style!
Then it’s time to head back to your luxurious hotel room to relax and unwind.

Ever dreamed of visiting the Taj Mahal at sunrise to capture photos while in a traditional Indian Saaris? Join us this morning very early to hire professional photographers to capture every angle via photo and video. This is a truly once in a life time chance, and you will all get your opportunity to shine.*

This morning you will head to the historic Agra Fort, known for the beautiful imposing red sandstone walls, keeping the grand Mughal palaces safe inside. You’ll have time to walk around the impressive Diwan-i-A, getting the chance to walk where many royal and foreign dignitaries have walked previously.

Next, you will grab a ride to The Pink City, Jaipur.

Also known as the ‘City of Victory’, Jaipur is the state capital and largest city within Rajasthan. The whole city was once full of colour, with every building representing a different colour, but in 1853 Prince Albert visited the land, and as a sign of appreciation, the colour pink was painted everywhere as the traditional colour of welcome.

This afternoon you will be free to do as you wish. There’s lots of local markets filled with clothing, local handmade crafts and souvenirs. Chat within your group leading up to the trip to discuss what you might want to do here.

Amber fort was originally the capital of Kachwaha’s clan from 1037, and is the home of ancient temples and step wells. There’s a short, 10-minute walk, that will take you through a few defensive gates, before leading you to the Sun Gate, the main entry to the Palace – a must see view.

Afterwards we’ll visit the City Palace, adorned with glorious gardens and buildings, museums and areas of significant historical importance – this is a truly wonderful place to visit.

This afternoon is at your leisure, so find your way around the streets and discover the hidden gems to relax and eat at!

Today is a super special day, and will be a highlight of your trip – guaranteed!

This morning it’s time to get up, and get dressed up special for Holi! We will experience Holi in an exclusive and SAFE area with other groups of travelers so there are zero concerns of safety and we can all have an amazing fun time with zero worries while enjoying our day! This is a super fun experience, that will leave you with a memory you’ll never forget – and specially tailored just for our group to ensure you’re getting a super special experience!

The festival of colors is a celebration all over India, originally a festival to celebrate the arrival of spring – it represents the throwing off of gloomy winter and enjoying the bright and life filled spring season.

In the festival, people will smear and cover one another in colored powders, sometimes using water guns and water-filled balloons to really add to the fun and colors! So prepare to get super messy, and just enjoy the invasion of colors and art surrounding you.

The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy as you should wish! It’s time to head back to the hotel for a thorough shower and dip in the pool to relax and recharge.

Tonight, we will come back together for our final meal, filled with locally sourced flavours and seasons, so let’s toast to the fantastic week and make some final memories to take home with us.

Do I need Travel Insurance?

Travel Insurance is required for this trip. There isn’t a minimum coverage required.

This trip does not include travel insurance & should be purchased separately.

Rachel’s personal favorite (from experience) is Travel Guard by AIG.

What is the age limit for this trip?

The minimum age is 19. The majority of the girls on the group trips are in their 20s & 30s. The biggest thing is mentality, being willing to be around girls of all ages, and willing to participate in all the activities.

The majority of my community is in their 20s and 30s, there isn’t a “too old” age but 23-38 is typical. That doesn’t mean that being 39 or 43 should stop you from joining us though! Please don’t let AGE be the reason you don’t join us. As long as you’re open minded to enjoying a trip with all ages, down to have A LOT of fun, and understand these are very active trips then you’re going to have a great time with us!

What is the activity level for this trip?

A good level of fitness is very essential to this trip.

Although there won’t be many long walks, there are some destinations that we will be visiting that are best approach by foot, and we wouldn’t want you to feel left out of any gorgeous sights and experiences.

What is the Cancellation policy on this trip?

The minimum number of girls for this trip is 8. Once we reach 8, the $400 deposit is no longer refundable as I book our hotels, activities, etc. at that point. If we don’t reach the minimum number of people, you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel your trip more than 60 days prior to the trip your $400 deposit is non-refundable but can be used for future Adventuring for Life trips minus a $100 cancellation fee. Anything over the 25% will be refunded automatically. The trip credit must be used within 12 months of cancellation. The trip is 100% non-refundable 60 days prior to the trip. The only way to get any money back within 60 days of a trip is if you are able to find a replacement. Rachel can definitely help try to fill the spot but there are zero guarantees we’re able to find a replacement. This is why we recommend travel insurance – incase something happens causing you to be unable to join us!
Rachel highly recommends checking out Travel Insurance quotes as they can be pretty reasonable and assist in these situations.

Saari Rental and Information for Sunrise Trip

Saaris are available in a range of colours and sizes. We will do our best to accomdate everyone’s requests via rentals. If you have a specific requirement for colour, this may cost more than the rental options and there are other options to purchase them as well.

Professional photography is available for the whole group for both individual and group shots. We will be sharing the photos immediately after the morning. If you have very detailed specifications for photos, you are also able to hire a secondary photographer to capture your vision!

Do you need to be from the US?

No! Anyone from anywhere can come on a trip, we’ve had girls from England, Germany, Canada and more! You could be the first girl from your country to come with us, we would love that.

Do I need to be Vaccinated for Covid-19?

While we do not require you to have a vaccination to partake in any of our trips, we highly recommend you checking the requirements for your country entering the trip destination before you book. We cannot be responsible for your vaccination status if you are denied access due to the country’s requirements.
