Note: Many girls that join the trips opt to land the day before around 9pm-midnight and then book themselves a night at the airport hotel then pick up the first transfer on Day 1 of the trip. Travel Insurance is required for this trip. You can get a quote on aardy.com – our favorite is Travel Guard by AIG.

Can I pick my roommate?

Yep! You can pick your roommate, so sign up with a friend if you’d like! You can room with your sister, your bestie, your wife, whoever you want!

We also do a full roommate survey before each trip for the majority of people that come solo!

Can I have a single room?

What are the Visa Requirements?

When you land at the airport a Visa can be purchased for 25 USD (cash is easier then card).

What are some random facts I should know about Egypt?

The dress code varies based on where we are. There are days where you’ll want to be conservative (covered knees and shoulders and other areas where you can basically where what you’d like for photos. Rachel will share exactly what is okay to where on each day. There will not be any points during the trip where you’ll have to cover your hair.

There will be PLENTY of opportunities for photos on this trip. You’ll come home with a camera roll so full it’ll take you awhile to process how amazing the experience was.

The public bathrooms in Egypt aren’t free. Outside the hotels expect to pay 10 Egyptian pounds to use the bathroom – this is for tourists and locals alike. 10 Egyptian pounds is about 15 cents USD at the current conversion rate.

If you book ALL the optional activities (as most people do) you will be tired by the end of the trip but you’ll go home appreciating that you did everything. We will take you to as many places as we possibly can but there are also days you can just chill at the hotel instead if you want.

Is Egypt Safe?

This will be my (Rachel) 7th trip to Egypt in the last 3 years. I would never personally travel somewhere that I felt was dangerous nor would I take people in my community somewhere that I felt was too dangerous either. I visit Egypt for weeks at a time doing plenty of things solo and feel very safe doing so. I want people to experience and leave Egypt with as much love as I have for this place – thats why I enjoy sharing it so often with people in the community. If you have specific safety concerns you’re welcome to message me directly on Instagram. The climate in surrounding countries has not affected tourism in Egypt. It is “business as usual” in Egypt, I will of course offer any safety recommendations I have before the trip if I think of anything that needs to be shared.
