Hey Girls!! We’re going to Sedona this September for an epic week filled with a bunch of hiking, a Winery Tour, and of course a ton of amazing photo op spots.
We will have multiple cars so if you’ve been to Sedona before or you haven’t, theres plenty of options for everyone to really enjoy themselves and get to know a bunch of new people that like to hike & travel at the same time.
- 7 Days/6 Nights
- 6-16 Spots
- AirBNB with 9+ Beds
- 6 breakfasts,1 lunch & 1 dinners included
- Fly into Phoenix International Airport (PHX). there will be 2 transfers before 3pm.
- Fly out of Phoenix International Airport (PHX).
- Optional: Book a sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride with a champage breakfast
- Optional: Book a 2 hour off road jeep tour through the red rocks of Sedona.
Be sure to check out the the details for the optional activities on Day 6 of the itinerary below before you book your spot on the trip as they need to be booked in advance and adding people last minute can be a bit tricky.
I am bringing my camera & drone so we’ll have lots of opportunities for fantastic photos for the ‘gram! I love to hike but at a leisurely pace, she is not a trail runner by any means. So don’t stress if you aren’t a super avid hiker, we’ll be doing quite a few miles but at a fun pace.
*This trip is 21+ as we are visiting a winery one of the days on this trip.*
**We will have at least 3 Cars for this week if all 16 spots are taken. I can not drive all 3 obviously so if you are 25+ and down to be a driver please let Rachel know after you book your spot!**
***If you do not need transportation from the Phoenix airport & plan on driving your own car to Sedona, please pay the partial payment and message Rachel afterwards on Instagram (@rachellikestraveling). There is a Rental Car built into the price so you will receive a discount.***
There is a “Reserve your bed” option to make it fair for anyone who absolutely does want their own bed. The AirBnb’s I have picked out 4-6 rooms each with 3-4 bathrooms so you’ll definitely be sharing a room. There’s plenty of sleeping space for all regardless of your choice. The bed you’re reserving is a twin, double, or pull out sofa bed you’ll have all to yourself instead of sharing a queen or king with another girl.
If you choose to make a down payment instead of paying in full the total balance is due August 14th, 30 days before the trip – to ensure enough time to purchase/book all the activities.

Rachel or one of the girls driving a rental car will meet you at the airport. Please try to arrive prior to 3pm to allow enough time to drive from Phoenix to Sedona and settle into the AirBnb before dinner.
If you plan on arriving after 3pm you are responsible for your own transportation. There are shuttle services from PHX to Sedona later in the evening for extra but you risk missing the first night dinner & getting to know each other!
Included: Transportation from Airport, Dinner the first night
After breakfast were going hiking to the Vortex’s today! If you aren’t familiar, Sedona is one of the most beautiful places to hike but its also home to many areas where people claim energy sources can be felt. Its definitely something fascinating to read up on before the trip, in case you’re curious.
We’ll start off in the morning at Bell Rock, where you can decide how far up you want to go, theres really no wrong answer because the view from Bell Rock is amazing. Afterwards we’ll stop for Lunch before we go on the Airport Mesa hike and finish off the day with an amazing sunset view at the top of Cathedral rock.
Then we’ll head back to Sedona right at Sunset so we’re not walking around in the dark (been there done that, don’t recommend) before stopping in town for dinner at one of the really fun casual spots.
Today we’re going on a winery tour to 3 vineyards in the area! Pack a cute outfit and some comfy shoes for an all day tour. No one has to drive today as the tour company is coming to pick us up and drive us to each winery! Each stop includes a wine flight and of course you can buy more winey at the winery. We’re even allowed to drink in the vehicle so get ready to have a fantastic wine filled day!
Lunch is provided during the trip and there are options for all dietary types too.
Today we can wake up early and hit the trail for a sunrise hike at one of the many amazing trails in Sedona.
We will hike as much as possible with a stop for Lunch mid day. I want to be flexible for all the girls preferences that come on the tro so there aren’t any set hikes for Days 4 or 5 because we will have multiple cars to split up if people want to do certain trails.
I will say that these are some of my favorite easy & moderate hikes in the area that will make for a great time:
- Birthing Cave (great at Sunrise or Sunset)
- Devils Bridge (great at Sunrise to beat the crowds)
- Robbers Den
- Boynton Canyon to the “hidden subway”
- One of the many amazing waterholes to take a swim
- Seven Sacred Pools
- Shamans
- Soldier Pass
If this list doesn’t keep us busy or there’s a bucketlist trail you want to visit, there are several hundred hikes in the Sedona area so we can coordinate beforehand!
We’re off on another day of hiking. I’m down to get up early for another sunrise hike with anyone that wants to go but if you want to sleep in then we can absolutely come get you after the first hike before we hit the trail again. We can even pack a lunch for today to hike as much as we can then find a fun place for dinner in town afterwards as a group or on your own.
Today is a free day if you want it to be!
After 2 long days of hiking feel free to sleep in or choose to join Rachel on an action packed day of seeing parts of Sedona from a whole different perspective.
Optional #1: Ever been in a hot air balloon? Well you can now! Join Rachel on a Hot Air Balloon ride over Sedona! The Hot Air Balloon takes off at sunrise, travels for 1-2 hours then touches down where we’ll enjoy a champagne breakfast!
Optional #2: In the morning after seeing Sedona from a Hot Air Balloon we’ll head over to take a Jeep Tours for a scenic off road private tour down Schnelby Hill Road with stops for photos during the trip. Its one of the most iconic spots with great views!
In the afternoon we’ll head out to a ghost town, Jerome, Arizona to explore a ghost town with a ton of history behind it. There are lots of historic parts, photo op spots, and just some really cool things to check out. You could even book a walking ghost tour if you wanted!
Since today is the last full day we can make plans to have a final dinner together as a group to cap off an amazing week in Arizona. We can discuss in the group chat before the trip and make a reservation!
Note: There isn’t a weight limit for the Hot Air Balloon ride but I do have to provide them all of our weights while wearing clothing so they can accurately level/balance each balloon.
Its our last day, time to pack up and head home. When booking your flight please keep in mind its a 2 hour drive back to Phoenix. So please try to book your flight homeĀ departing after noon(12 PM) to give us enough time to check out of the AirBnB.
Note: If enough people decide to book later in the evening flights we could drive up to Horseshoe Bend in Page, Arizona & then I can also take you to this amazing rainbow mountain range I know of in the area before heading back to the airport. We can discuss in the group chat!
