Journey through the wine-producing region of Tuscany on a guided day trip from Florence. Visit three organic wineries and enjoy lunch with a tasting of local wines, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. Take a walk in the medieval town of Greve in Chianti. Start your day trip driving through the Tuscan countryside. Reach the first winery to learn about the winemaking process. Sit down for a light lunch accompanied by the winery’s own wines and products.  After lunch, head to Greve in Chianti, for a quick stop in the most representative village of the Chianti Classico countryside. Take some free time to admire the main square before continuing to the final stop, a historical family-owned villa and winery. Admire the views of Florence and one of the most beautiful Italian gardens in the area. Breakfast

This morning, venture out to visit the enchanted Cinque Terre! Pack a cute outfit for the vibrant little picturesque towns as there are so many beautiful photo spots!

The footpaths that run between the villages were once the only way to travel in the region, and take you through olive groves, vineyards and on to idyllic, breath-taking vistas. If you’re feeling energetic, walking parts of the path (up to 12 kilometres, approximately 5 hours) will give you the best taste of the villages and countryside, though will require a good level of fitness.

The group will walk through two sections/villages together then its a pick your own adventure type of day! You have the choice to keep going, go for a swim or stop and relax in one of the villages.

You can swim in the beautiful blue water of Cinque Terre too so pack your bathing suit! All along the coastal line there are rocky outcrops, harbor quays and sloping pebble beaches to take a dip in the cooling clear water.

Some sections of path can be difficult, as there are challenging uphill stretches, narrow paths, steep cliffs and foot bridges. It’s also possible to take the train between any of the villages or back to explore the town of La Spezia whenever you want. Stop off for lunch at one of the towns and relax in the vibrant atmosphere.

A minimum of 25% down payment is due at the time of booking. The down payment is refundable until your spot is confirmed at which time it becomes non-refundable. Your spot is confirmed after the first 8 bookings are made. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the trip. If you book within 59 days from trip start, the full amount will be due at booking.

Yes. Especially in the current climate of the world, Travel Insurance is highly recommended for all International Trips.

Do I need to take a covid test to go home?

As of September 2023, Covid tests are not required to return to the USA or Canada.

What type of luggage can I bring?

As much as YOU can personally carry. Expect to carry your luggage on & off each train by yourself. Rachel highly recommends packing as light as possible. If you’ve ever been backpacking before, this is a great time to dig out that backpack again. If you only have a roller suitcase, opt for the smallest one possible so you aren’t lugging 60 lbs through each train station! Again – you can pack as much as you can personally carry. You’re responsible for your luggage the entire trip.

What is the activity level for this trip?

We are doing LOTS of walking. Expect to clock 15,000 steps per day – if not more. There are numerous hikes and shorter walks. I would label this a moderate level trip, you should come prepared to be very active pretty much everyday. There are also many different areas where we’ll be very high up (suspension bridges, cliff walks, etc) so if you are super afraid of heights, this trip is probably not for you.

Who Is Hosting This Trip?

This trip will be hosted by one of our brilliant hosts: Lili. Although Rachel will not personally be on this trip, she will be involved every step of the way. Lili has hosted many trips with us since we started Adventuring for Life, and always makes the adventure a super unique and very fun time!
